Experience a site-specific art performance and pop-up in response to Windows of Little Tokyo, our outdoor exhibition of 10 artworks on windows across our historic Japantown. A special Halfway Reception with the unveiling of Alan Nakagawa's Unfinished Proof Ninomiya at Far East Lounge! See visions for the future of First Street North—a block critical to the past, present and future of Little Tokyo.

PERFORMANCES/INSTALLATIONS:

Sara Sithi-Amnuai
Sara Sithi-Amnuai is an active creative technologist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Sithi-Amnuai’s recent work focuses on the intersection between identity, improvisation, and live performance interaction between the performer's body and their instrument through gesture and sound. Her latest work is Nami, a custom built glove interface designed for live musical performance utilizing gesture recognition tools and community research. Sithi-Amnuai is a member of international touring group Frisson and Pan Afrikan People's Arkestra.

Alan Nakagawa x CSUDH Praxis Art:
A pop-up recreation of the Ninomiya Photograph Studio, where you are invited to learn about the photo archive and submit a selfie for our social media sites. If you post on Instagram or Facebook and hashtag #unfinishedproofninomiya, you will receive a free zine!
